Burcu Turgut Kestek graduated from Faculty of Law of Atilim University with a full scholarship in 2012. She started her internship at Ozturk&Partners Law Office in Samsun in 2013. After completing a one- year internship, she presented her thesis titled “The Carrier’s Liability for Damage and Loss under CMR Convention” at Samsun Bar Association and was admitted to the bar. In the early years of her career, Kestek resolved numerous disputes among buyers, sellers and carriers in import and export transactions through negotiation and litigation. At that time, she began her maritime law practice by providing consultancy in a case about the missing vessel owned by her client, a foreign company. In 2020, she passed the mediation exam successfully and was registered as a mediator. In recent years, Kestek has specialized in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law concerning Banking and Finance sector. In this field, she serves one of the largest banks of Turkey with a focus on professionalism and efficiency.
